Wild Quest Rescue Patrol Playset - Elephant

Another trip to the vault in order to get a classic and the actual first SFX toy animal from the early Chap Mei lines.
The included electronic elephant was recently re-used to form the Jungle Adventure Treasure Hunt Playset.

Included items view.

Included accessories.

Figures: "Trekker Bill" and "Camou Jack". For more details on these figures and actual color schemes, refer to Wild Quest Rescue Patrol Playset - Rover

Animal: "Warthog" or "African Lens-Pig". Great sculpt here. No doubt! One of the best Wild Quest/ Park/ Jungle themes animal.

The included cage, like all others from this line or Dino can have multiple uses, since the scale is perfect.

Due to the sheer size of this one, I believe no one will bother to see this animal reviewed as a vehicle...

I already had mentioned this (then) future review when I had a look into the Jungle Adventure Treasure Hunt Playset. And just like I wrote then, the elephant  being a bit oversized, is highly detailed. Pressing down the head, you activate the trumpet sound.

Scale shot with a RAH G.I.Joe figure. For G.I.Joe fans, you get the chance to handle a GREAT Gnawgahyde "facochero".

Scale shots for comparison.

That elephant is totally great man! First time I saw it was in a picture of Luke Ellison at JoeDios. Can you imagine a bunch of Jungle Vipers walking in the jungle alonside of a beast like this elephant? Almost a Lord of the Rings movie remake.

  2. Yeah, problem is (and it´s a common thing) this elephant has a very distinctive pose. And having 2 or 3 would look like a "Fame" dancing episode. HOWEVER, if the elephant had a more neutral pose, yes it would look amazing.

  5. I have a bootleg version of this elephant. If it was a couple of inches shorter, it would be almost perfect.
