Zarkon´s Sinister Intergalactic Command Space Ship
Another spectacular toy from the 80s, this Zarkons vehicle is another reason why the era is so cherished by all of us.
MIB 1988, Exin.
Half-assembled vehicle, sticker sheet, parts, comics, and even a quality control document.
And ready to attack Hombres C.O.T.A.!
Not only amazing for itself, this vehicle´s parts can be used with other vehicles to form amazing new inventions. Snap on, stay on sort of mechanics.
Claws open and close to catch figures and serve as landing gear. A complex system in high quality plastic.
Ready to fit Serpion, star pilot!
Interactive force changes the alien faces into human face-masks when they assume command of the vehicle. Neat!
Solar reactor, active missile launchers and the powerful claws are but a few weapons of this fast moving attack ship.
The Zarkons are coming!

Madelman 2050 Saurius
Saurius, bio-mechanic for Zarkon´s invasion force!
Saurius was the one who got away... back in the 80s. I remember drooling over the toy shop selling them. His drilling vehicle is a memory to this day, when I thought: "how cool figures with vehicles!" Well, actually Saurius was the only one... And check out how perfect the fit is.
MOC 1988, Exin. Mine, 20 years later!
All of the included items with this fine blister.
How the 80s were great, even small vehicle such as this one came unassembled with their very own small sticker sheet to be applied.
Underground Drilling Vehicle.
Command console slides down, how cool is that?
Figure: Saurius. Space Bio-Mechanic. Guardian of the underground maze of Ox.

Madelman 2050 Serpion
Serpion, star pilot of Zarkon´s invasion force!
One of the original specialists squadron members sent from Zarkon to invade Earth and make our planet their new home.
With his ugly mug hidden behind his human mask, Serpion does his very best to help Zarkonians accomplish their mission!
Figure: "Serpion". Cosmopilot trained in the cruel Zarkians mercenary troops.
Included accessories.
Weapon can be attached to his backpack.
Since their head contains a magnet and this clever "revolving head" idea involves a fairly complicated vertical balance which is crucial to its perfect functioning through time, the helmet (working as a container) does not turn. This makes Zarkons helmets pretty cool, since they probably had to compensate with really nice sculpting.

Madelman 2050 Bran
Bran is C.O.T.A.´s Science Officer. And while his comrades carry "traditional" weaponry, he has a cool gunner backpack!
A mere curiosity for ARAH G.I.Joe fans, Bran´s set has a Cobra Astro Viper look, or is it the other way around? Both figures released in 1988!
Not only were Madelman 2050 nicely packed in a molded plastic bed, they had a plastic bubble cover on top. Both figure and accessories could be arranged and perfectly observed from the outside. A common thing today, not very common (at all) back then.
Figure: "Bran". Science Astronomer specialized in bio weather.
Included accessories.
Molded helmet folds down and gives a 1986 "Kenner´s Centurions" look to this C.O.T.A. man.
Looking like the nitrogen-propelled jet pack used by Astronauts, this is actually a weapon to wipe out Zarkons!
In "Return of the Madelman 2050: Zarkons Invasion" Bran is seen using its Magnetron "special power".
Since we already seen the Magnetron power revealing Zarkon forces identities, I guess this is a good time as any to show the feet magnets and just how super powered this magnet(ron) really is...
Smooth attachment on any metals containing iron. Strong and firm connection. A lot of fun! Let´s keep in mind that the Madelman 2050 line had a spectacular base (Basertron) which had metalic floor allowing these figures to... stick around.

Madelman 2050 Darman
Darman was my very first Madelman 2050 figure back in the 80s. His retro look and my soft spot for pilot figures are reasons that still make Darman to this day, my actual favorite C.O.T.A. man.
That bubble helmet, the color scheme and plastic texture, plus his outstanding weapon are enough reasons to justify my admiration for Exin´s work with Darman.
The bubble which protected the Madelman2050 carded figures were a look into the future. Over 25 years later, this is pretty much how all action figures are packed.
Figure: "Darman". Mechanic and NAVESCAM space factory test pilot.
Included accessories.
Absolutely stunning and sturdy construction. No wonder they were so expensive. Usually 2 or 3 times the cost of any given ARAH G.I.Joe figure.
As seen in their first issue, Darman was actually the first "earthling" to use its Magnetron power to reveal Lagard´s true identity. Also, I found the writing for the top image nostalgic and interesting enough to share. Roughly translated: Instructed over the most advanced technology. We all know how the future brough voice command, and touchscreens, but watching those Flash Gordon rocket sort of command handles is always nice!
