Playmospace 3558 Lunar Dumper

Another item from the great vintage Playmobil space line.

For you 1:18 action figure diorama fans, last picture´s for you.

 Too bad only a few, very few vehicles went through production. Maybe that´s why they´re so precious.

Simplicity = Playmobil perfection.

A great dumper for your (couch) space explorations. You can transport your engines, pieces, busted robots, the works.

 It always reminds me of the vehicles used inside the Star Wars rebel base in Yavin. And you can probably find many purposes for this multi-task little vehicle.

Playmospace 3534 Space Shuttle

 One of the most commonly seen as a "space theme flag" toys from Playmobil, this Shuttle is also one of the most well conceived general-purpose sets.

G.I.Joe fans, last picture´s for you!

I´m not sure if the ladder was included, but it appears in many 3534 play set action shots in 80s catalogs and boxes.  Missing: cockpit control handles, radar. 

Cargo, passenger, detention, it has served these and so many other purposes under Playmobil fan´s orders.

 1980 factory stamp, we were very deep in those Buck Rogers, Galactica and "V" years. and this shuttle captures the spirit of all those series and movies.

This is definitely one of my favorites.

If most Playmobil vehicles are compatible with Hasbro´s 3 3/4" most successful action figure line, this shuttle is one of the most usable.

PlaymoSpace 3536 Space Station

 For most (if not all) Playmobil space fans, the best collectible toy play set yet.

 A great play set at all levels. Playability, detail, timeless design and yet, a sweet nostalgic look!

 If the outside is all that said above, what to say about the interior? Have a look, you have living quarters, space rock scale room, recreational area, and command/communications room.

Airlock doors were one of the greatest details on this one. Playmobil (as a whole) is a recreational yet educational brand. And you can´t just open the doors and lose atmosphere, this was a lesson too. The 4 stands were retractable and the kit is marked 1980, although some say this set was only available around mid 1981.

As far as a potential G.I.Joe army addition, it has all the ingredients. A great customizable play set. Probably as an underwater control center.

Playmobil has always been a reference for great toys and considerable real-life similarities. Take into consideration the year, 1974.

Great details with loads of capabilities and total fun.

The connectors made this rover similar to a space caterpillar if you had extra modules.

And we could NOT let the opportunity go by. One of the greatest things about Playmobil, from a Joe-fan point of view, was the scale. Most vehicles and play sets were perfect for diorama purposes... and even for customization! This particular "Famo Space" rover always reminded me of a Cobra space transport. What about you?
