Too small for the modern (more realistic) 1:18 figures, fits the old gen of hasbro´s
ARAH gijoe-like figures. A different kind of entry when compared to the
last post, but its simplicity goes hand-in-hand with all the feel of the 80´s and early 90´s lines. Also, the fact it costs under US$2 also helps.
MIB, 2011. Box reads: "Handsome appearance. Various styles. To have both the quality of tenacity. To be highly praised and appreciated by the consuming public". I guess we´re about to see that...
A friction toy, the problems start with the thin tires. If the front wheel could pass, the rear wheel of a chopper is known to be car-like. Well, then you have those 2 wheels from the friction motor.
On a high note, the tank and handlebar set are very good. A bit fragile, but for what I have in mind, personally, seems fitting.
The seats look good, and as one could see, easily fits 2 vintage joes. So that makes up for a lot of eventual flaws.
Looking for a foot rest? So was I. No such luck. However, it has sculpted rear brake and shift pedals.
It can be unsassembled quite nicely, so I thought this would look great inside a Dreadnok´s shop. A stripped chopper is always a ´

It´s an impressive aircraft, and possibly from the late 80s. It has all the common "made in china" details, but it has no marking in that way. So, it´s fairly safe to assume that it is NOT an Asian toy. They pretty much stamp "made in" in everything they do after snatching an original blueprint.
Disassembled look. A big bird with great details and a futuristic, yet very realistic military feel to it.
The set of parts most "A Real American Hero" G.I.Joe collectors will certainly recognize. A copy made out of the 1988 "Skystorm X-Wing Chopper" set. The "honeycomb graphite composite rotor housing" and the "winged x-crossed section air-to-ground anti-tank missile" are clones of the ones used with Windmill´s ride.
Some section shots and a comparison image to picture the customizing possibility. Keep in mind the landing gear while not M.I.A., is not shown in the scale picture, so it looks shorter this way. The cockpit definitely houses two 3 3/4 " figures.
The interior and guts. After a near-decent cleaning job, this looks to be able to run someday... yet again. I have no clue how and what will it do. But the first step will be a deeper cleaning of the metal and pray nothing else is ruined. However, this is pretty much a curiosity factor, since the basic idea is to strip it and customize it for G.I.Joe purposes.
An item found in an "obscure" store somewhere around the globe, with no clear marking except "made in china". The logo seems a TONKA design rip-off, but like we all know... nothing new there.
The distinct toxic plastic smell assures this one would never pass a quality test. But it does pass the custom possibility test. With honors.
Great looking vehicle for your 3 3/4" figures. And very modern "G.I.Joe".
Included figures. "Take me to your leader...".
The driver was glued to the seat with hot melt adhesive. Considering there are 2 holes on that seat... well... ok.
The funny looking radar can be removed from the back. The front wheels do not touch the ground since there´s that "bump & wheel" boulder in the middle of the axle. Easily fixed.
The car, truck, is actually very well conceived and molded. The details on its front are absolutely on the spot. And it even features a moving winch cable roll. Doesn´t come with a winch, however.
The gunner stations are plain great, the front is marvelous. The inside may need a few small adaptation changes to fully fulfill its destiny as a G.I.Joe machine.
