Maisto 1:18 Motorcycles

Monday, February 8, 2010

Late 90´s models and the first line being sold at "Toys R Us" in western Europe, these were (and still are) widely used by 1:18 diorama builders in their scenarios.

With the right amount of detail and nothing over the edge, these friendly priced items were the answer to many of the G.I.Joe collector needs. There´s a lot of wheels for your Dreadnok gangs!

Yamaha Vmax, Kawasaki Ninja ZX-9R, Honda F6C, Yamaha FZR600R.

Yamaha XV1000 Virago, BMW R1100R, Yamaha TTR250R, Moto Guzzi V10Centauro.

BMW R1100RS, Malaguti Phantom F-12, Indian Four, Honda VT1100C2.

Honda NR.

Kawasaki KLX250SR.

Indian Chief Roadmaster.

Scale shots. In some angles, they seem a bit under scaled. Or the figure is not right for these. You may find that some of the "new age" action figures may fit there a lot better, since they are thinner. However in most cases, taller. Especially "Rise Of Cobra" Duke figures on those Indian.

I got some 1/18 bikes, most of them are for the 'Noks.

Maisto is a blessing. Their bikes are fantastically detailed, sport rubber wheels, metallic finishes, and are realistic looking. having several of these, I highly recommend them especially to any GI JOE fans looking to bolster their Dreadnok vehicle convoys.
