True Heroes F22 Raptor Fighter Jet

Saturday, October 3, 2009

A modern classic, the F 22 Raptor made by Motor Max. Pictured here, the Toys R Us exclusive, "True Heroes" Fighter Jet.

A nicely detailed aircraft, this jet is pretty close in design terms to the real Raptor. Minor differences, such as weapons location are actually, the most noted. So basically, you get yet another great "Joe arsenal" improvement.

View of all included parts.

Now assembled with 2 air to air missiles and 2 air to ground (we could be on and on about similarities - or lack there of - to the real weapons, but we´ll just keep it that simple).

Different views. Bottom - landing gear down and up.

The drums/ barrels, have a cote green olive paint. Interesting. Seems toxic :)

The figure. Well... that´s what we get. Does anybody wanna put it inside the raptor? Din´t think so...

Empty nests.

... And fully armed.

Landing gear coming out.

Engine views. Some very nice details.

Cockpit. Some potential for a little customization. Just a couple of items will do the job.

Left, original included pilot. Right, RAH G.I.Joe figure. You´ll have to do a little twist here and there to fit the guy in there. But in the end, fits fairly good.

Some details to enjoy the plane´s design.

Scale shot.

Scale shot with both figures. If you notice, the Joe figure is just a little bit bigger than the included one. And that is exactly the tenth of inch which makes the G.I.Joe figures a little too big for this one. And that is a damn shame. However, they do fit. Most of them. 83 Ace fits for sure.

The G.I. Joe was always know for his cutting edge technology, so it made sense to add to them a F-22 Raptor!
