Another Chap Mei experiment from "back in the day". For many, some of the most well conceived figures came from this "Ninja" theme.
It is said that these figure´s wrists rotate. Since we decided to leave these MOC until finding vehicle sets, we don´t yet know for sure. If it is so, not only do they have nice looking sculpts and decently scaled accessories, they also incorporate that good detail.
The packages don´t have any reference to names or affiliation, and by the way, these you see here, were distributed by the German company "Simba".
The blue figure wearing a "Straw hat" is particularly eye-catching for that very detail. The other figure (probably a bad guy) has a mean devilish look. Very cool too.
Another fact has to do with the presence of 1 "power ranger" per pack. If there was another 2 pack, my guess would be a yellow one. The color schemes are definitely not there. If justice would be made, these figures should have a revisit and gain serious palette options. The sculpts truly deserve that. Very good details such as hidden weapons, holsters, small details one can´t capture immediately - and should.

The great part of this line are the working holsters, a lot of blades and other cool weapons and they have some vests too.
ReplyDeleteThe colors made them look like B-movie Power Rangers, but also could give nice parts for customs.
When do you guys make a deeper review on these? I´m so curious. I have seen lots of pictures on eBay and other sites, some "action shots" like you guys do from time to time, but never a detailed. And these definitely seem to deserve it.
