Madelman 2050 Reptis

Used to high temperatures, Reptis took part in the establishment of Zarkons 1st base in the center of the Earth!

  3. I “discovered” these Madelman figures back in 1993. A dealer from Europe was selling them at a toy show in New York City. At $8.00 each, I could afford to buy five of them. The retail price of regular G.I. Joes at that time was $3.49, so you can see that I was really impressed with the Madelman figures to spend more than double the Joe price to get some!

Almost three years later, in 1996, a friend of mine in France managed to obtain another figure for me. A friend of his found it while traveling in Spain and bought it on my behalf. With the postage worked in, that sixth figure ended up costing me $10.74, which I still considered a good deal.

I’ve always been intrigued by the backs of the cards that show the other items in the line. Five of my cards are from the first series and one is from the expanded second series. The vehicles shown are really interesting, and I hope you get around to reviewing some of them, especially the Defender and Tarantula!

Many thanks for a very informative series of great reports.
