Star Wars Episode I CommTalk figures European Editions

Due to legal issues the Commtech brand was renamed to Commtalk in Europe. The European figures came with a Commtalk chip in various languages namely, English, German, French, Italian and Spanish though the figures remained the same only the language changed to the appropriate country. Also the cards vary to the American figure cards as the various languages were printed on the front and back of the card.

- thanks to nitrocide for the info.

Star Wars 1997 Kenner site exclusive B´OMARR MONK

From 1997, and not available in stores. One had to send away for it,  with a check for the shipping and handling plus some proofs of purchase from figures. Great looking figure and mint, complete. One of the best "goodies" from that era. A prize!

 Bib Fortuna figure not included.

Star Wars 1997 Candy Boxes with exclusive surprise figures

Truly fantastic figures, candy and interesting diorama concept. At the height of their new reconquered  glory, the Star Wars brand  was firing away in every direction and every company wanted a ride. This is another example.

A total of 16 figures were available (all pictured) with these surprise boxes. Candy, gum, and other offers were found inside of these US$2.5 (1997 price) packages.

The exclusive figures were 6 and nicely painted. They had some articulation. Usually a couple of points. A collector´s gem.

Then the ships. 10 in all. Micro Machines sort of detail with very similar molds. Gray coated paintings. VERY nice. Other than Portugal, I have no clue where (if) would these be found.

Then the last surprise. Today common and used as a "box novelty". Almost 15 years ago, besides the cool graphics on the outside, you could then open the boxes and cut away the diorama scenes. Apparently there were 10 different (making 5 dioramas). Tatooine, Bespin, Death Star, Hoth and Tatooine (Skiff scene). We´re missing one of Hoth´s diorama half as well as the Skiff scene.

+ 2 MISB premium figures/vehicles (Shuttle and Solo)

... and even an extra Slave I.

P.H.X. Heroes Emergency Team

Available since 2009, this set could be found in Auchan retail stores.

Not as clean and original as the Auchan exclusives we already had the opportunity to review, this set seems to have inlcluded some bootleg versions of accessories and parts.

Included items.

Included accessories.

Included figures.

A great item from this set, a 4x4. One, if not THE greatest part of it. Perfectly fits 2 "Joes" and who knows... you can put "Law & Order" in this one...

Initially, when looking at the whole set, I suspected this one to be a direct copy of the SWAT helicopter. But it isn´t.

Detail shots. It includes electronic SFX.

Pretty cool aircraft, but has its limitations. A nice 80s cartoon-styled toy.

Raft is definitely part of a bigger (read complete) vehicle. Strange looking thing. It shows signs of weapon emplacements, but they are not included

Another interesting find for diorama purposes. The cannon is a bootleg version of the one find in a Buddy L vehicle, which may leave open the possibility of the whole tower being a copy of some other line.

Deep Sea Adventure Giant Creature Set - Flying Pincer

Flooding the European shelves before 2010 Christmas time and from Portugal to France was this refined line of subaquatic figures and vehicles.

Some sort of manned underwater vehicle inspired this one. Probably an SDV-type (SEAL delivery vehicle).

Included items.

Figure: Flipper Miles.

Great looking machine, smooth lines and with the cool SEA QUEST logo.

Equipped with underwheels for hard surface play and a movable pair of pincers.

Detail shots. As shown, pincers are activated via button. The fans work and the steering module moves up and down.

This vehicle comes with net holders to catch prey. Nice conception.

Animal: Tiger Shark.

Considered to be one of the sharks most dangerous to humans.
